Ben Young

Ben Young is an award-winning writer and director working across film, television and commercials. His debut feature Hounds of Love premiered at the Venice Film Festival and received nine AACTA nominations. His second film Extinction launched on Netflix starring Michael Peña and Lizzy Caplan, followed by Devils Peak with Billy Bob Thornton and Robin Wright, released theatrically in the US in 2023. His television credits include Population 11 for Stan and Season 2 of The Twelve for Foxtel, both filmed in Western Australia. He brings a sharp eye for performance and atmosphere to everything he directs.

Clare is a director with experience in drama, commercials and documentary. Having started her career as a photographer, Clare has an eye for the visually interesting, the cinematic - evident in her 2019 award winning solo exhibition Running With Wolves. She fell into shooting through her love of and connection to surfing, producing First Love and then as DOP on Uncharted Waters - and still freelances as an underwater cinematographer, with recent credits including Run Rabbit Run, The Clearing & Wentworth. Corrie Jones

Corrie Jones is a commercials director and editor known for sharp storytelling and a strong sense of performance. He has directed campaigns for brands including McDonald’s, KFC, Cricket Australia, Australia Post, RAC, HBF and Lotterywest. His work has been recognised at D&AD, Cannes, The One Show and AWARD. Daniel Askill is a multi-disciplinary filmmaker and artist known for his visually stunning, music-driven, and emotionally arresting work in film, music videos, commercials, and video installations. His notable advertising campaigns include projects for Audi, Dior, Smirnoff, XBOX, and Sony. Askill directed Sia's iconic music videos "Elastic Heart" and "Chandelier," with the latter approaching two billion views on YouTube. His accolades include nominations and awards from The Grammys, MTV VMAs, Lumiere Awards, Clio, D&AD, and Cannes Lions. Born in Australia, Askill now divides his time between Los Angeles and New York, where he co-founded the creative collective Collider Studio. In 2003, his acclaimed surreal short film, "We Have Decided Not To Die," won awards at international festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand, Melbourne International, Brooklyn International, and SXSW, noted for its exploration of the human body, ritual, and visceral special effects. Askill is renowned for grand, emotionally rich work featuring balletic movement, wirework, ambitious visuals, and sophisticated VFX.

Australian/Maori director Dylan Duclos is renowned for his cinematic and surreal visual storytelling, distinguished by photographic precision and an immersive, tactile style. Raised in Western Sydney, Duclos started editing professionally at just 16, with photography profoundly influencing his narrative approach to filmmaking. After initially making waves directing celebrated music videos for artists such as White Shadows and Emma Louise - earning multiple Vimeo Staff Picks - he quickly expanded into television commercials, crafting visually powerful campaigns for brands including Corona, Sheridan, James Boags, Vanguard, and Victoria Racing Club. Dylan is a high-concept visual stylist whose work is notably visceral, emphasising physicality and human movement complemented by extensive experience with high-end VFX. He has been closely mentored by acclaimed director Daniel Askill, often shooting B-unit on Askill's American projects. With a reputation for minimalist yet striking visuals, Dylan consistently pushes creative boundaries, blending cinematic techniques with creative storytelling to bring to life uniquely compelling commercials.

Eddy Bell has worked in almost every film department, graduated as Valedictorian from the Victorian College of the Arts, and even hosted Belgian TV. In his commercial directing career to date, he’s collaborated with major brands such as Toyota, Volkswagen, KFC, OPSM, The Australian Government, and The Australian Air Force. Known for creating characters that audiences connect with - grounded, emotionally true, and often surprisingly funny - Eddy believes the best narratives unfold when character drives story and story, in turn, pushes back. That dynamic sits at the heart of his work. Eddy’s short films have been awarded top prizes at the Sydney Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival, St Kilda Film Festival, and Flickerfest (Best Australian Short 2014 & 2022). He’s won an Australian Directors Guild Award, was nominated for the 2014 AACTAs, and was recognised at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity with a Gold at the Young Director Awards. Emma Vickery

Growing up as a country kid and a voracious film buff, Emma Vickery was obsessed with movies, music videos, commercials—the lot. With small town life came the need for a robust imagination, and making up stories for her friends and family's entertainment became her favourite pastime. After graduating with a BA/BA (hons) in Screen Arts, she cut her teeth in the industry working in film and TV art and wardrobe departments. With over ten years of industry experience, she is passionate about bringing visual enthralment to everything that she does. This keen eye is something she now brings to her work as a director of commercials and short-form content. Emma's short films have screened at festivals around the world and been broadcast by SBS. Her commercial clients have included the Department of Education, WA Police Union, Western Power, and Murdoch University. She is currently working out of Walyalup (Fremantle) in WA, but is always ready to travel for work or play. She loves to collaborate with other creatives and clients and is most passionate about crafting work that celebrates authenticity, inspires human connection, and looks devastatingly good.

Most notably, Steamed Dreams, a sports mockumentary exploring the world of extreme ironing, and Hitting the Road - a young adult, getaway driver inspired short film that played as part of the closing night ceremonies for the 2022 Revelation International Film Festival. ‘Jono’ was loading 35mm film at 15, running the camera department by 19, shooting documentaries by 21, directing commercials by 25. He’s easy going, yet super-experienced in every aspect of film making capturing emotively charged cinematic moments that tell a great story in a very short amount of time. Jono has worked across a myriad of brands including ‘Dominos”, Apple, KFC, McDonalds, British Airways and Nike (to name only a few!) Robert started making a lot of really silly stuff at a young age and has just kept at it, leading to some finely honed silly stuff. With a background in musical theatre and improvised comedy, Robert is a classic triple threat, has a strong focus on character and loves to integrate music and rhythm with editing and action. A renowned composer, editor and stalwart introvert, what he lacks in personality he makes up for with proficiency. In the commercial world his clients include Lotterywest, RAC, iiNet, and Kellogg's. His numerous musicals and his feature film "An Ideal Host" (2020) have traveled the globe and won numerous awards.
